Ap\u00f3s complica\u00e7\u00f5es, ele foi internado no Instituto do Cora\u00e7\u00e3o, tamb\u00e9m na capital paulista, onde morreu. A morte foi confirmada pela esposa do artista. Ainda n\u00e3o h\u00e1 informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre o sepultamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Galv\u00e3o \u00e9 fundador do grupo Novos Baianos, que marcou a m\u00fasica brasileira. Com o grupo, lan\u00e7ou o \u00e1lbum \u201cAcabou chorare\u201d, que juntava samba, rock, bossa nova, frevo, choro e bai\u00e3o.
