Na cerim\u00f4nia, estavam presentes o diretor da Via\u00e7\u00e3o Leste Brasileiro, o Engenheiro Lauro de Freitas e o prefeito Cazuza Torres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al\u00e9m do pr\u00e9dio, que substituiu a antiga esta\u00e7\u00e3o erguida em 1887, foram realizadas um conjunto de obras como a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do Armaz\u00e9m de Cargas, Oficinas, Garagem de Locomotivas, Sede do Tel\u00e9grafo, Dormit\u00f3rio, Escadarias e o Pontilh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atualmente, muitas das edifica\u00e7\u00f5es foram abandonadas e acabaram virando ru\u00ednas.
