Era considerado uma das mais eminentes figuras da justi\u00e7a baiana, seja por suas qualidades como juiz, seja pelas virtudes como cidad\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essa respeitabilidade foi comprovada com sua promo\u00e7\u00e3o a Desembargador do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a da Bahia, em 1958, quando teve seu nome aprovado por unanimidade pelo Legislativo e pelo Chefe do Executivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edgar Sim\u00f5es faleceu em 1975, deixando vi\u00fava dona Albertina Duarte Sim\u00f5es e os filhos Gis\u00e9lia, Jairo, Ivan e Edna.
