O empres\u00e1rio \u00e9 considerado um dos mais importantes nomes da hist\u00f3ria do empresariado e da educa\u00e7\u00e3o da Bahia.<\/p>\n<p>Com grande vis\u00e3o e prop\u00f3sitos humanit\u00e1rios, fundou uma das maiores empresas do estado, a Companhia de Ferro Ligas da Bahia (FERBASA), na \u00e1rea de minera\u00e7\u00e3o, metalurgia e reflorestamento.<\/p>\n<p>Entretanto, o maior legado do empres\u00e1rio foi a Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 Carvalho, entidade sem fins lucrativos que proporciona a milhares de crian\u00e7as e adolescentes acesso ao estudo de qualidade.<\/p>\n<p>O vel\u00f3rio e o sepultamento do empres\u00e1rio ser\u00e3o nesta quinta-feira (22), \u00e0s 8h (aberto ao p\u00fablico), no templo da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 Carvalho, local idealizado e constru\u00eddo por ele no munic\u00edpio de Pojuca, onde fincou sua hist\u00f3ria.
