Nasceu no dia 07 de Junho de 1942, em Senhor do Bonfim, e faleceu em 01 de Outubro de 2010. Era filho de C\u00e2ndido F\u00e9lix Martins e Nilda Maria de Freitas Martins.<\/p>\n<p>Cursou o prim\u00e1rio no Col\u00e9gio Maristas, em Senhor do Bonfim, e o secund\u00e1rio no Col\u00e9gio Severino Vieira, em Salvador.\u00a0Formou-se em Ci\u00eancias Cont\u00e1beis pela Faculdade Visconde de Cairu, em Salvador.<\/p>\n<p>Pol\u00edtico nato, foi vereador pela Alian\u00e7a Renovadora Nacional (ARENA), de 1974 a 1978 e Deputado Estadual de 1979 a 1983.\u00a0Foi Prefeito de Senhor do Bonfim entre 1982 e 1988 e de 1996 a 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Quando faleceu estava filiado ao PMDB, mas tamb\u00e9m j\u00e1 esteve foi filiado aos partidos PDS, PFL e PSC.\u00a0Na Assembl\u00e9ia Legislativa, C\u00e2ndido Augusto foi titular das Comiss\u00f5es de Agricultura e Incentivo Rural (1979-1980) e Prote\u00e7\u00e3o ao Meio Ambiente (1981-1982).<\/p>\n<p>Foi casado com Miralva Ferreira Martins (1\u00ba casamento) e Regina Martins (2\u00ba casamento).
