Havia sete irm\u00e3os. O mais velho casou-se com uma mulher e morreu sem deixar descend\u00eancia. O segundo, ent\u00e3o, casou-se com ela e igualmente morreu sem deixar descend\u00eancia. A mesma coisa aconteceu com o terceiro. E nenhum dos sete irm\u00e3os deixou descend\u00eancia. Depois de todos, morreu tamb\u00e9m a mulher. Na ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o, quando ressuscitarem, ela ser\u00e1 a esposa de qual deles? Pois os sete a tiveram por esposa?\u201d. Jesus respondeu: \u201cAcaso n\u00e3o estais errados, porque n\u00e3o compreendeis as Escrituras, nem o poder de Deus? Quando ressuscitarem dos mortos, os homens e as mulheres n\u00e3o se casar\u00e3o; ser\u00e3o como anjos no c\u00e9u. Quanto \u00e0 ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o dos mortos, n\u00e3o lestes, no livro de Mois\u00e9s, na passagem da sar\u00e7a ardente, como Deus lhe falou: \u2018Eu sou o Deus de Abra\u00e3o, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jac\u00f3!\u2019. Ele \u00e9 Deus n\u00e3o de mortos, mas de vivos!
